Vintage Car and Boat Festival

The 2010 Bay Harbor Vintage Car and Boat Festival and Dream Cruise will be held the weekend of June 24th- 27th in the Village at Bay Harbor. The Public is welcome! Visit the Petoskey Area Visitors Bureau for lodging and area information.

The Festival kicks-off on Friday, June 26th; with the 4th Annual Bay Harbor Northern Michigan Dream Cruise from to Patrons can expect a fun filled family night of cruising during this 1950s and 60s themed evening. Visitors are welcome to bring their hot rod or muscle car and cruise the streets of Bay Harbor where local favorites will entertain throughout the evening. We will also feature great food, live entertainment, kids activities and an exhibit on how electricity is made.

The Bay Harbor Foundation teamed with electric automaker Global Electric Motorcars and are set to champion clean driving at the Bay Harbor Vintage Car and Boat Festival on Friday, June 26 at . As an annual fundraising effort that draws 8,000 10,000 spectators, the Bay Harbor Festival focuses on eco-driving this year by featuring old and new electric vehicles in its highly anticipated parade. Predicted to be the worlds longest display of electric vehicles, the parade includes a line-up of over 200 zero-emission GEM cars as well as other electric automobiles.

The Bay Harbor Festival has themed this years event Electric Atmosphere to celebrate the benefits of green transportation in the Bay Harbor community. As the nations first resort community to fully integrate the use of GEM battery-electric vehicles, Bay Harbor is a longtime advocate of environmentally sound transportation solutions. The Bay Harbor Foundation hopes that the parades impressive line-up will set a Guinness World Record for the longest parade of electric vehicles.

The Festival continues on Saturday, June 27th at with the Vintage Car and Boat parade in the Village at Bay Harbor featuring an exquisite display of motor cars from the early years, the classic years, post WWII, modified custom hot rods along side our electric vehicles. Plus, visit an exquisite display of wooden boats of the region's inland lakes at Bay Harbor Lake Marina. Awards will be announced at for vehicles and boats. The show closes at .
