Area groups benefit from Bay Harbor Foundation
Bay Harbor, MI - December 2007 - More than $112,000.00 will be put back into the communities surrounding Bay Harbor as seventeen groups directly benefit from Foundation events held earlier in the year. Those organizations are: Bay Bluffs ~ Emmet County Medical Care Facility, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan, Boy Scouts of America-Scenic Trails Council, Brother Dan's Food Pantry, Conservation Resource Alliance, Crooked Tree Arts Council, Girl Scout Troop #379 ~ Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree, Good Samaritan Family Services, Harbor Springs Education Foundation, Jordan River Arts Council, Junior Achievement, Little Traverse Conservancy, Inc., The Manna Food Project, Michigan Land Use Institute, C.S. Lewis Festival, Inc., Top of Michigan Trails Council, Inc. and YMCA of Northern Michigan.
The Bay Harbor Foundation is looking forward to increasing the dollar amount that they are able to distribute in the coming years. With the outstanding events and area wide public support that has been shown in the past, Foundation committee members hope that even more organizations will be touched in the future.
